ABOUT

This is me. A passionate photographer. Professionally active as a photographer since 2002 and also active as a photography teacher since 1999.

I have been taking photos since I was twelve. My first camera was made entirely of plastic with tiny negative films.

I thought it was wonderful. There was a photography course in high school. I took portraits of classmates and printed them in the school's darkroom. It looked terrible, but it was exciting.

Photography brought me so much. I saw the whole world, photographed politicians, the Royal Family, top athletes, ordinary people with extraordinary stories, remarkable entrepreneurs, products, the most beautiful buildings, jewelry, and many shop interiors. All those different industries gave me insights into how the world, and the Netherlands in particular, works. At the beginning of my career, I photographed many weddings (160+), and I still photograph a few every year. It is wonderful to capture all that emotion.

For my personal work, I photograph on the street and at jazz concerts. A lot of black and white photography. During the courses I teach, I share my passion with others. Will I see you in front of my camera too?
